stock overhauling.

got a horrible knotch on the bearings, not liking it at all. feels like the balance knob on a stereo when u hit centre.

gonna pull the bearings out of the project bike and see what condition they are in in a few mins.

right, its all a bit fecked up at teh moment.

Just got the bike out after putting the bearings from the project bike into the running bike, got to the bottom of the road and the bike wnted to tankslap. Felt it weave a fair bit even under 10mph. i do have a steering damper and that has been put back on there.

everything loox central, forks are at the same hight, wheel loox straight etc my only guess is the headstock is still fukd.

ideas what bit needs to get sorted?

Are you sure it's not your wheel bearings?

yeah id check for play, in the headstock and the front wheel. Also make sure the head cup bearings are fully in place. Check the rear wheel alignment and chain tension too.

Right i have given up trying to Make do with the bearings from the project bike and travelled upto Leigh again today with my ate in his Beemer, i felt like a chav lol

Got 2 Koyo 32907 jr-3 for £18.32 a piece to replace both the old ones. Swiss Tony has the bottom yoke at the moment and is gonna try to get the bottom bearing off it without wrecking the dust seal.

Ill start stripping the front end again 2moz ready for his arrival at 1ish
