PLEASE HELP

There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

Interestingly there isnt any machining of the perimeter of the piston crown (going on piston number 3). Assuming that the tuner dropped the cylinder base gasket and skimmed the head there is a possibility that the piston to cylinder head clearnace isnt as safe as he says - although I would still have thought that pistons striking the head would cause the rod to fail rather than the piston but I may be wrong on that.

Simple question - does the tuner have a good track record? If so then it seems unlikely that he has cocked this up. If not then - maybe.

No valves :smt009 This has got to be a clearance problem

"davw"
ive had a lot op people sending me msgs saying that looks like clearance problems,
as for the tuner i thought he was good however i never saw any of his woek b4 but when i droped the bike off he seemed to no what he was on about
the head was skimmed so that might be another possibility then

I have not personally seen the damage that a dropped valve could do but there are those on here that have - that I guess is another possibility which could be caused by poorly set valve clearances (rather than piston to head clearance).
Sorry I cant be more helpful - if I was you I'd whip it round to Roger Middleton - make your apologies about not turning up before and ask him to sort it
