ZX6R question

Post by cargo »

I've got a ZX6R 2004 model it is of couse a race bike...............The last two race bikes I ridden always seem to be very high at the rear the seat on this ZX6R is very high biazzarely so in my opinion. I know there are one or two ZX6R owners and racers on here and I'm wondering are they all like that or has mine been deliberatly built that way for some reason.
There is a home made bracket to support the fiber glass seat which would suggest that mine has been modified.
Thing is sitting on the bike feels very very strange it steers fine and handles a treat it just feels funny to sit on especially right after being on my 400..............its like my bum is way up in the air and my hands at the front axle and sitting on it I'm on my toes to hold it up

Today I've bodged an old ZXR400 seat along with an old CBR seat unit to lower the seat height in order to try it this weekend but I curious to hear from others

Any thoughts

Maybe its been set up suspension whise for a different body weight/size? Isnt that how race bikes are suposed to be? Bum up and head down.
