pickup rotors
I've got two of these that are different. One has more lugs on it and a different part number. Are they different between the H and the L or is the one with fewer lugs one of those mickey mouse kit ones?? The timing marks look the same but I can't get the camshaft timing marks to line up level with the top of the head when the rotor shows TDC?

Re: pickup rotors
well I worked that out. The bloody robdog that sold me the bike not only had been running a 440 engine, but the spare engine turns out to be a zx400 which is why the bloody rotor don't work with the zxr ignition. :wanker

Re: pickup rotors
SP rotor will be stamped with 1223 on it.
It has two identical lugs opposite each other with one having an additional lug to it's right, this will only work with the SP or F3 CDI's
ZX-4 (zx400) uses a 1168 pulsar (8 lugs)
H1/J1/H2/and all L models use a 1189 pulsar (4 lugs)
SP/M uses a 1223 (3 lugs)
You want to fit the ZX-4 cams into your 440 motor
even if it has SP's in it !

Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !
