Treating my bike to a few bits for summer.
Gonna throw some bling on my zxr for summer and also looking for any performance upgrades, as I cant go up on power at all as im on restricted license what else is there available?
Already gonna throw some hel braided hoses on when i get the chance, any point in aftermarket sprockets etc?

If it's broke spray it with WD40, if it's still broke spray it again and leave it over night, if it's still broke, bin it.

Full micron stainless steel road legal system (Delta e-legal),
Goodridge stainless braided hoses.
double bubble black screen, all for L model.
Race products Crash bungs meant for a RSVR, but they fitted straight on the ZXR, no cutting.
Mini indicators with a carbon fibre rhencullen plate to hold them in place...?
K & N Filter (not so bling though)
Powdercoat your wheels pink.

wouldnt bother with bling myself...start with getting the suspention properly sorted then brakes. These WILL make the biggest differnce to your riding and how fast you can get round the lanes/track!

Well im not racing it its purely for road use, lmao already having my wheels re powder coated black :p
I've been having a look and throwing ideas about and this is what im gonna put on it:
Black DB screen
Carbon hugger
Braided hoses
Crash bobbins
Tail tidy n mini carbon arrow indicators.
flush mount indicators on front
Carbon can protector
Carbon levers (already done)

it will still make a bigger differnce than you think it will getting your suspention set up for fast road riding. It dos deepend on your riding though, if you like ride fast its worth it, if you like to park out side tesco and impress the kids then carbon bits are well worth it

I rag all my bikes cuz i love to ride fast but i also love the attention when i'm at the lights n pull up at a group of mates in town
Wud it possible to get my stock suspension sorted out? If so where should i take it to do it and whats the cost like?
I dont really have the money to buy a decent rear shock.

Cost - depends on where you take it! You could try Maxton or K-tech. Drop them an email and see what they say. Last time I checked, Maxton wanted about £180 for a revalve and respring on the rear - which isnt too bad
I agree with rene though - if you've got money to spend, get your suspsension sorted. It'll be way past its best by now and you will transform your bike!

Well ive just spent £135 on tyres and £70 on a new sprocket and chain set so im completely skint atm, but if i do shed loads of overtime at work i'll be able to get my shock done in a month or so. I was looking at maxton shocks but my pockets are empty right now so shall wait and see.

For performance on any bike (and especially as your bike is restricted at the mo) try changing the gearing. The easiest & cheapest (£15 approx?) mod is to replace the front sprocket with -1 (minus 1) tooth size. You will have to adjust the rear wheel to take up the slack in the chain. If you like this & want more then try changing the rear sprocket to +1 or +2 teeth.
The ZXR 400 is one of the best handling bikes in history so try setting up what you have first without spending any money.
Front brake is a bit weak so bleed them with fresh fluid & try Double H sintered pads & stronger brake lines (colour coded for bling).
For a bit of bling clean & polish it! Motrax mirror / indicators look good due to their shape and flash at the same time - easy to drill through the fairing mounting & connect into the indicator wires.

If your on a budget, get some nitromores/ wet&dry/ hammerite paint and respray all the little brackets that have rusted or corroded. That will make it look a bit better.
