Headlights not working

Hi just trying to sort a few problems on my bike. The rear lights and indicators work fine as do the speedo and rev counter back lights, my problem is the headlight, when i turn the ignition on theres nothing even the pass switch doesn't do anything i've put a new relay on and checked all the fuses. Could it need a new switch gear? i've bypassed a wire where the relay goes and can get the main beam to work its just dipped beam. Thanks Daz

if you've put a new relay on i'd say the switch has gone, was it brand new from a dealer?

Yes it was. i'll have another fiddle with the connectors and check for voltage at the switch failing that i'll try another switchgear. Thanks for your help!
