Rattle cans?
Well i know theyre never gonna be anywhere near as good as a professional paint job.
But as i saw one of the lads was gonna rattle can the whole of his zxr.
whats the finish like for the whole bike?
I've resprayed the odd parts like mudguards etc on bikes and u cudnt really tell it had been done but on a whole bike is it gonna look dodgy?

If it's broke spray it with WD40, if it's still broke spray it again and leave it over night, if it's still broke, bin it.

Re: Rattle cans?
You can rattle can a bike, but I was always told if you want a great look get the laquer done in 2-pac (proper stuff) by a pro. The final clear coat is the one that makes the difference.
I did my old zxr400 with cans, rubbed it down, put on the stickers and then got a work collegue to laquer it. Here is the result.

Re: Rattle cans?
Wow nice one mate!
doesnt actually look too bad without the laquer, looks different without it
Anyone know what the price of laquering is roughly?

Re: Rattle cans?
I reckon if you can get it laquered for less than £150 it's worth it. The laquers and 2 pac harderner probably cost about £30-£40, then you got the person doing the job. For me I bought the laquer and harderner and the guy did it for free. He has left my work now though, so the next respray will be a bit more expensive.saka_ZXR wrote:Wow nice one mate!
