hello can anyone tell me where i can get a 'Haynes' like manual for my L9 so i can do my valve clearances, the kawasaki ones dnt tell you shite and im not a mechanic and i dont want to take the head off and all that when i dont 100% now what im doing. i cant find a haynes one and im struggling to find any others. cheers guys. kermit.

they don't do one mate, the kwak ones should tell you all you need to know, i take it you are reading both H & L manuals together?
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

You don't need to take the head off to do the valve clearances

yeh im going to have to. i looked at the diagram of the valve, wheres the bucket and shims? i havent had the engine apart yet will be doing it between xmas n new year.

Theres no bucket, the rocker goes straight onto the shim
