Lidl bike covers - word of warning

Post by reds »

I got one last year was only a few quid, and hasnt done too bad a job to be fair (although it has a couple of rips in it)

went to my bike today to nip into town, and tried to pull it off, but it was stuck - thought it had got caught up in the rear caliper some how - went to look at it, and the cover had melted onto the caliper ! just spent 20 mins scrapping plastic off of the rear disc, and the braking performance is chronic now !

I'd recommend the Ebay seller bikesecurity4u

I've bought 2 of the Oxford Aquatex covers now - they're pretty waterproof but still thin and light enough to take around with you if you need it, plus they've got the belly strap thingy so it doesn't blow off!

Think they're around £20 with postage.

And they go on fine even with the bandit's burning hot exhausts! My 9r doesn't get anywhere near as hot!
Who needs tyres when you've got knees!!
