Re: Scitsu temp gauge
my thoughts exactly, as every other bolt on the bike is metric.zimm wrote:well, i cant imagine that a 1990's japanese motorbike is going to use an imperial thread.

Re: Scitsu temp gauge
Could be imperial, BSP is fairly common even in metric countries for pipe threads.
just check the specks and measure the thread pitch on the standard one.

Well done at Mallory Simmo. I'm sure you will be breaking into those '59s next year, especially with that posh temp guage. EMRA F400 #48.

I might be missing something here but what is the advantage of this over the bog standard temp guage

Mine is the BSP fitting and attaches to what I presume was the fan switch on the front of the radiator.

it doest require a power supply from battery, so will help a very small amount, as myt bike runs total loss.Davw wrote:I might be missing something here but what is the advantage of this over the bog standard temp guage
also you can keep an eye on the temp without the ignition on.
came 5th, crap start didnt help (first 1 on the zxr, and did forget to practice :wanker )THE FLUTE wrote:missed you after the race of the year how did you get on in the end??

Yes was pleased as I had only had about 1/2 testing on the bike it total needed somemore time on it to get it set up.simmo wrote:came 5th, crap start didnt help (first 1 on the zxr, and did forget to practice :wanker )THE FLUTE wrote:missed you after the race of the year how did you get on in the end??
