ahh, but if you remove the pegs, you've got to fit a cowl over the pillion seat, or a single seat conversion.. mine failed for that as i'd quickly chucked the road panels back on for the mot and not put the pillion pegs back.
Well, made up a chain guard from a bit of old panel that i had laying around that did the job perfectly! Just at an internet cafe (me, posh?) and had the MOt about an hours ago and flew through! Apparently the exhaust is blowing a bit at the join but otherwise nothing else to worry about, now taxing it online!
Went through the local tunnel and hit 110 no problem (forgot to fit derestrictor), running very very well! Keep bogging it when i goto pull off at the lights and also often in the wrong gear for any decent acceleration but learning to be in the right gear at the right time.
Tank and upper fairing have been primered, will post pics up soon in my build thread. Gonna give it another coat today as i tried to rush it yesterday and try to put it together while still drying so now has spots of bare metal on the tank! Now its dried overnight i can rub it down to get rid of the runs and give it another coat and cover up.
Have to say tho, im surprised at how good it looks in just white primer!
Boo!
