I use the flat plate type like the ams one. And they work very well mate. My motor went up 8hp, and this is a tuned motor, with a full ram air box and these plate bellmouths. Before it had a standard modded ramair box and bellmouths.
my stuff come from dynoproracing in runcorn
the different heights of the bellmouths do different things i think.. more low end, top end..etc.. just not sure what is what
Ehm... sorry, but I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about
"Flat plate type like the ams one" what do you mean?
"Full ram air box" how's different from a "standard modded ram air box"?
I think I still don't know enough this bike to know the engine and tuning details...
Anyway, I live in Zew Zealand, so It'll be difficult for me to pass by Runcorn
So, those trumpets are not in the standard bike as long I can understand (still have to remove the tank and see what's happening down there). My question now is: if I win the auction, can I mount them without any other modification? Or I have to mod the ram air box? Will I notice some difference in performance? Noise?
Maybe it's a stupid question, but I need to start from somewhere...
Thanx
these here dude

are the plate type bellmouths.
I modded my standard airbox with a big scoop to the front of the bike, breather pipes going into the airbox from the carbs underneith and no airfilter. This worked very well on a sightly tuned motor. I then had my motor tuned a bit more, and this setup was almost imposible to get a clean fueling line. was up and down, bogging from to much fuel to dangerously lean. but it made nice hp.
Now, we put a proper big ramair box on, carbs inside,no filter again, and the plate bellmouths.
Now we are getting nicer hp at just over 14rpm. It has the sp cdi on her, and was not dropping off at 14rmp...so i reckon shes probs doin real nicehp at peak revs. The fueling is still not perfect tho, and still has the zxr rich spot in the middle... only custom needles will solve this i think.
dynoproracing might post you some stuff? BBplastics also do very good quality stuff, and also have flat bellmouths .
also. alot of people use the standard L bellmouths on there plate in there ramair boxes, and to good effect to.
