zxr400 strange noise (speedo cable)???????

can anyone help new to the bike scene so excuse me if things sound a bit silly i have just purchased a 2001 zxr400 having only passed my test last week my first few trips on my new bike were all about getting used to it and every noise i heard was a bit strange if you know what i mean !!! having almost lived on my bike for nearly a week i have noticed a couple of noises that i think should not be there the first one was easy to solve which turned out to be a pin hole in my exhaust down pipe thats one down . the second one is a little bit more complecated it is coming from the left hand side of the bike and sounds to me as if it is from the speedo cable it doesnt happen for the first couple of mins while riding but when it does come in it sounds like a slight clunking noise which gets loader when you accelerate and quierter when you deccelerate if any one can help would be gratefull thanks

simple, unscrew the speedo cable and tie out the way then go for a blast see what heppens, i doub't its the speedo cable, if they are on the way out they usually click, could be wheel bearing?

I would second the wheel bearing suggestion.

My rear one does it occasionally - Think its time to get them changed.
