look what i got today
didn't think it was fair to keep relyin on Gem to tell me when to fill up so splashed out on this bit of kit, came in the post today and looks the dogs bollox

The KOSO XR SR provides the sport drivers with all the required information: speed, temperature of some operating fluids, fuel level. Additionally to this there are some functions reserved to have it programmed to your requirements..
Here you will find the overview of the features:
Speed reading optional in km/h or mph
Speed readings up to 360 km/h (223 MPH)
km reading up to 0-99999km
Trip meter 0-999,9km
Rev counter up to 0-18000 RPM
Rev counter of the record mode up to 15000 RPM
Digital reading of water temperature up to 120° C (248° F)
Top temperature reading
Fuel level reading 100 Ohm /510 Ohm
Clock 24 H
Top Speed reading
Voltage 12 Volt
Lighting 12 Volt (blue)
Measurement 116.3x72.4x32.3 mm

I'm considering splashing out on something like this rather than getting UK odometer for mine. I can't quite justify it yet though, I need to work on my excuses to myself.

What you pay for that then?
I've sent a few out and was tempted with one myself but I went for two smaller digital guages instead - but they are good value the Koso stuff.

If you don't have a fuel sender salvage one out of a honda tank (Koso set up for them) mark and cut/drill out the holes, put a new seal on the float sensor and use "toggle" bolts that you use in dry walling to secure it to the tank - sorted.
Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !
