cheers mate, that'll be the 'A' CDI's than, yeah?
Only reason ive labelled them as L model, was they were advertised as coming off of when i saw them on ebay.

Re: zxr400 CDIs
The yellow ones are import ones, restrict revs to about 12,500 rpm. They're toad. I thing they do something to your top speed too
Red ones are from H models, blue from UK spec L models

Re: zxr400 CDIs
The yellow ones only limit the RPM if they are not wired up properly ( with reistors) and they actually have a slightly higher RPM limit than your domestic ones I think.

Re: zxr400 CDIs
The UK bikes have the most power, highest top speed and biggest carbs. They also put out the most bhp.
I used to have an imported one before it got nicked :smt013 and this came with a yellow one. Replaced for a blue UK one and it revved much higher. Phone Brian at AMS up anyway, he's pretty good and can tell you for sure. I'm only going on what i remember as it was about 2 years ago.

None of these look like mine, similar but different. 2000 SP model came from Japan as a race bike.
