Anyone know how to install a race Magneto/flywheel?
do we still need the stator to run the bike? Should i redo the wiring?
I am building a race bike as my project in college, just get stuck on this problem.
Please help.
Cheers.

Re: Race Magneto installation?
the cdi is fed from the battery. You can run total loss system, and save the hassle of removing the stator coils by snipping the charging wires and wrapping them off.

Hey there, Thanks for your reply.Northern ANdy wrote:the cdi is fed from the battery. You can run total loss system, and save the hassle of removing the stator coils by snipping the charging wires and wrapping them off.
If the CDI is fed directly from the battery will this affect the battery life?

well yeah. If you aren't going to have a charging circuit then the battery will need externally charging between races.

how long do you reckon the battery gonna last if i only use it to feed the CDI?
How do you make a charging circuit without the stator?
