Re: removing cam chain tensioner
Is this the tensioner for the clutch cable? Cos you got cam chain tensioner and clutch cable tensioner all in the same thread, so when you just say tensioner its a bit confusing!
Oil level shouldnt have anything to do with it. On the clutch cable tensioner there is a locating hole where a pin should slot in and stop it rotating. Check to see if the pin is still there. Is the large bolt done up all the way, you said you were having problems with it.
You can see it here in the bottom left corner

Re: removing cam chain tensioner
ok i think im on the same page now, so the cam tensioner wont stay in place? You pull the clutch and the the cam tensioner drops causing the clutch tensioner bracket to come loose also.
I dont know mate, like i say ive never doen them before, the bolt for the clutch tensioner wont do all the way up you say? Maybe you striped the thread?

Re: removing cam chain tensioner
Sorry cant help ya more, Just sounds like you have stripped the thread inside the tensioner that holds the large bolt and pulls out when you pull the clutch.

Re: removing cam chain tensioner
the problem was that the srew was too far out(the screw that ataches to the clutch cable, infact it is a bolt), it needed another twist, and this screw twists wierd you have to mess about to get it in correctly.
