if you pull the clutch in and it disappears its the old clutch noise, if it only goes away a bit then i would imagine its both your clutch and cam chain.process of elimination methinks.

camchain and headgasket are easy to change anyway

last year after the nec my cam chain went and had to travel about 50ish miles. manged to get it back thankjfully but when i got over 5 - 7k revs then the noise went away. took the cam chaijn out and didnt really look worn but once replcaced then it was fine so sumtimes the noise does disapear. dont take too long untill u repolace it otherwise it can blow .

donbt think this helps at all but hey there u go lol

i can only hear mine at idle, when i put my ear next to the engine, maybe because i have a loud exhaust.
on my drz the head gasket took days to replace, will i have to check valve clearance aswell?
anyone know where i can buy a cam chain and guides, maybe headgasket?
