front light

hi all got a bit of a problem iv got no front lights so i had a look at it 1 bulb had gone anyways as i had it all out i did the work needed to be done to take a iridium bulb all went well put the bulbs in and iv only got the side light no dipped or main checked the fuse thats fine and the main fuse all fine. theres no power in the fuse box tho to the front light fuse i can make head nor tail out of it al the other electrics are working fine any help would be great thanks dan

what's your battery like is it in good condition?i had loadsa light problems when my battery died

no batterys fine its really anoying cant seem to find the problem

does the main beam relay click?

nope no noise could it be the relay my battery has just died as well but have been playing round with it all day

is there power to all the other fuses in the JB? - junction box

GOD changed the fuse today again just to try it and charged the battery works fine spent 2days trying to fix this thanks for your help tho guy

ps dont take the piss please

lol may be! anyways iv not got good news lights still playing up and went out the other day and the bike just died coming up to a junction. seemed like an electrical fault bike would not start up for love nor money would not even turn the starter motor but was moving the rev gauge to 8000rpm left it for 20mins and it strugled but just started just got home about 2miles and i died pulling on my drive any help would be great im thinking somethings draining the battery or alternators playing up halp would be good thanks

sound like the regulator/rectifier had the exact same problem with mine !
so i put on a used reg/rec from a Kwak GPZ600 an its been spot on since!!
its worth tryin ! good luck mate... :smt078

id put money on the reg/rec. common problem by all accounts. let us know how u fix it. :smt006

if its common am i better not going for a zxr400 rec ?? if so what else will fit?

think most of the kwaks had the same colour code on the looms ??
as i said i put on mine a GPZ rec/reg and the wire colours are exact just a differant connector pin...
(i did a real pro job and used electrical block connectors!!! did the job though!!) :smt003
