Due to slightly bent Valves I’ve damaged the valve guide removing it (Part of a bigger problem. I have a new top end coming but I thought I could save as much of this one as I can). I now need to remove the valve guide. Looking at the drawings there’s a clip holding the guide in place but I can’t seem to see it. Does anyone know a procedure for removing one of these and the clip? I had a tool made up at work that fits nicely but I don’t want to attempt battering it out yet if there’s a clip holding it in.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Valve Guide Removal
Is the method for removing the valve guide not in the workshop manual?

It just says heat it up and bop it out with an arbour. There definitely seems to be a clip or something in the manual though...

Re: Valve Guide Removal
The clip is the retainer to stop you bashing the guide all the way through when installing.
I had to remove one, I put the head in the over for 10 mins at 180
Made a aly drift that fit inside the guided and had a top hat edge to strike the guide, a few swift hits and it came. Out nice and easy
