only fires on 3n4

only fires on 3n4
Hi could any body help with my problem.i have had the head gasket done,just put the engine back in but it appears to only fire on 3 and 4 while 1 and 2 stay cold.any ideas would be great. many thanks paul

Make sure the battery is fine
Make sure the h t leads are the right way round
Check the spark plugs make sure there not full off muck
Carbs might be up the swaney
At snetterton some thing happened to my carbs blocked from fuel :smt013 and all weekend we ran on 3 cyclinders as well
Check the fuel pump is pumping fuel
That should keep you busy try fuel pump first
Sloweracing

it might be that you have connected ht leads incorrectly.
1 and 4 run from the coil that is usually sited on the left and 2 and 3 run from the other. doesn't matter which ht lead goes to which connection as long as they are both on the correct coil. nor does it matter which primary winding is connected to black or the red or the green as it is an isolating transformer, so don't worry about that either.
