My front and possibly back end is rock solid xan feel every little bumb in the damn road, so looking to soften up but sont want to tet nyself whem dont know what im doing and f*** it, so i think theres 2 setting in front and 1 on back? The front being preload and spring dampering?

Your bike is 21 years old. The shock was probably dead within the first 5 years.
When did you grease the swingarm pivot/unitrack/dogbone linkages?
You can turn all the adjuster knobs out there but if your suspension bushes are worn and rotted out then it won't do owt I'm afraid...
