I'm in the process of selling my 400 L2 (don't panic, just bought another 750 J2) and the lad that's buying it has just passed his test. I acquired a set of 15.5mm washers from ebay for about £2 and I'm throwing those in with the sale. At the moment its got a Piper Cross air filter in it and standard jetting, so its running way too lean and popping and farting mid range, which I intend to cure by replacing with a stock filter... BUT, will the lad be better off with the Piper Cross seeing as he's about to restrict the air intakes with washers??
Just curious...
Thanks

In theory if your restricting the air intake then your want as much air flow as possible.
Try fitting the washers and take it for a spin. Then try the stock filter.
That or some dyno time

Yeah, I agree with the theory but you know how these things go!! If the buyer wants it dyno'd he can do that himself.
