Light switch

Hey guys I'm new and will introduce myself in the newbies section later with a picture of my oddly coloured ZXR ha. I'm pretty new to bikes but just wondering I have an L1 and whenever I switch the bike to on my rear light comes on and when I start the engine all my lights are on and for the life of me I see no on and off switch... Just a flash, and a low or hi switch any help would be appreciated. Are they always meant to be on??

Yes, if it's an import. My old one was like that, my current one is a UK spec one and has the switch on the r/h switchgear just below the kill switch

How do I know if it's an import? It says registers in GB on the MOT... I'll have to check the V5 when I receive it... But I see nothing under the kill switch so I'd imagine that's it's. Cheers for the reply
