zx6r radiator
Does anyone know if a rad off a zx6r will fit on a L model ? As one their more readily available two their a lot cheaper ? Also what's behind the act of ditching the oil cooler ? Why don't you need it ? Just wondered as I'm thinking of ram air kit.

Re: zx6r radiator
Brand new rad from Cradley for the 400 is cheaper than the rad for a 2004 ZX6r
Top outlet from that 600 rad looks to be an elbow at 90 degrees to that which is on the 400.................I'd guess the 600 rad is bigger too
Are we talking road or race bike here

Had a look at top spout.it is pointing downwards as you said.question for you what is the direction of flow ie which is the inlet and which is the outlet.what I mean is hyperthetically if the lhs is in and the rhs is out would it matter about pointing down?

Re: zx6r radiator
The coolant pump pumps coolant to the engine so rad outlet is on left.
The fittings on the radiator make no difference with regard to flow direction

The fittings won't matter either.up is up and down is down.the hose would still make the same shape anyway.wish I'd never asked.oh by the way cradley is not the only place you can buy parts from ever heard of eBay?

Re: zx6r radiator
The ZX6r radiator is a bit smaller, similar in shape but thinner than the 400 radiator. I've thought it might be a good substitute for me since I'm in the US and parts can be a pain at times.

Re: zx6r radiator
If anyone is still wondering about this i have done this mod to mine since im using ram air, you will have to buy the hoses for the zx6r also as this can plumb into the zxr400 system. just make sure you get the two extra hose connectors blanked off as the zxr400 will not use them. can provide photos if needed just ask
