Hi guys.
My zxr 400 is using more gas, than any other bike.
I found out that on the right side (down) at the tank, its a small overrun for the tank.
And mine is "raining" all the time, day and night.
What is wrong, and how can i fix this ?
Overrun for the gas tank?

Re: Overrun for the gas tank?
Around the petrol cap there is a drainage hole that removes any water/petrol that collects around the rim.
It runs down, along the inside of the tank, kinda like a thin straw.
You may have a hole in it that is allowing petrol to flow out from the tank.
If you know what i mean.

Re: Overrun for the gas tank?
Thanks for the answer, made everything a lot clearer
But this straw, is it possible to change ? or do i have to change gas tank ???
Think it stopped dripping now, but i think around 2 - 3 liter already run out.

Re: Overrun for the gas tank?
its molded into the tank mate.
The only way i can think of stopping the leak is to block the drainage hole.
Its the small hole on the bottom of the tank that should have a rubber tube on it.

Re: Overrun for the gas tank?
You are probably getting waterf in there anyway, with it running down the hole, through the draining pipe then into the tank using the same hole that is letting the petrol leak out.
Also, are you sure its not leaking from the petrol tap?

Re: Overrun for the gas tank?
good point.
Im pretty sure, because its dripping from the overrun.
On sidestand, in neutral ++
Stops dripping when the tank has lost about 2 liters

Something like this would help you find out for certain.
