Re: Quick question
Not seen that before, if you get an import cDi that will restrict u to 10rpm.

Re: Quick question
Just curious as to why you'd want to restrict yourself to 4K? My ZXR doesn't like being below 4k

Throttle restrictor
I need to get a dyno of my bike proving its 33bhp. I thought about the washers but i dont wanna be faffing around with the carbs ect.
So i thought a throttle restrictor. Has anyone done it? Looks easy to done one. Im thinking putting a tube over the cable?
If anyone has done it cant you explain how you did it plz?
Cheers

Re: Throttle restrictor
Wouldnt work.
The amount of power delivered in each gear with 1/2 throttle is different.
Stop being a tart and fit the washers.

Re: Throttle restrictor
also mate you dont need to get a dyno of your bike at 33bhp, its bull. just get some ally and cut 38mm discs with a 15.4mm hole in it (preferaby quite off centre to help stop fuel pooling in the rubbers), pull off the carbs slip the discs into the rubbers, then refit the carbs. job done. as far a legality goes, its up to the police to prove that your bike isnt restricted, not for you to prove it to the police. if you look into it enough you’ll see what I mean, it’s the biggest con in biking! And if your insurance company ‘requires a certificate’ then tell them to stuff it and go and find a proper company that knows the rules!

Re: Quick question
i would hazard a guess that he wants to limit his revs to restict his power to conform with a restricted license, if you look at the power curve of the zxr it produces about 30ps/hp at just under 7k rpm so thats my guess as to why he wants to do that, he said in a later topic that he doesnt want to mess around with the carbs, but id sooner be putting washers in rather than messing around with ignition

Re: Quick question
Mate, if you restrict it to 4k you might as well get off and walk
