shock swap

Hi everyone

I have a ZXR750 with a lovely Maxton shock does anyone know if I can use the same shock on my ZXR400. Maxton say... "The shocks run at different linkage ratios so they might not work? I also do not know if the remote shock will foul the swing arm or battery box?"

Any advice of info would be great
