H2 swingarm - but you can ID the frame to confirm that it hasn't been added later. You'll find a link on the forum for doing itp.lally wrote:Hi, you must have a keen eye and I think your right I have a couple of old mots and 1 says 1989 and two say 1990.Mori Man wrote:Nice job cleaning it all up.
Like them Green nipple caps
Your bikes one year newer BTW - 1990
Just starting to build one of mine up, have washed engine and that's about it but things will happen quick as not painting anything just cleaning
MM!
What did you see that makes you say that?
Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !

Re: My 1990 ZXR400 H2 track bike project
Managed to strip the engine down of its starter motor, water pump, pipes and all the little bits
Then cleaned it all down with engine gunk from halfords and plenty of elbow grease but still needs plenty more before it can be painted. (Thanks dan661)
Did manage to get some of the smaller bit clean up and painted.

Hi, yes that's the plan, it just matters if I can get it done in time (hopefully June, but probably July)bude-zxr wrote:Awesome work mate. Looking really good! You planning on doing some track days this year?
The other problem is that if I make it too good, I won't want to track it.
However that is what I bought it for so I will do, I'll just have to invest in some good crash bungs.
