Bolt on Goodies
Started to fit the parts I have left in the various boxes I have:
BEET Dark lens covers , I'm going to replace the lenses on the indy's with dark tint too
Can hanger stay has always bugged me - just to wide and occupies to much space , so with a customer pissin me off so much I've decided to use a hanger that was bought for him. made of Stainless so a bit heavier than the standard one but I like the look so may source an alloy one down the road
Oh, and washed the wheels.
As I add the parts on I'll keep posting them up in this thread.

Those lights would look awesome on my black one, are they still available, how much do they cost?

Next round
Time to fit Dave's MPH clocks with a Red rev box and I managed to pick up a new dark tint screen so on went the smoke indy lenses too
Indicated 120 in 3rd on the redline next time - I'm off out on the highway to play

Ah, PM me! Your SP seat cowl is in Manchester nowWelshD1K wrote:when was it your delivering it?
Updated the can hanger arm for one with a 30mm off set so now doesn't touch the bodywork, made from aluminium with a brushed effect.
MM!

Look what arrived today
Scored an adjustable pulsar / rotor / timing trigger / advancer yesterday
Not for the ZXR per say but of course can be adjusted to fit
As is, it will not have any retard which is OK as that's really for nitrous motors so instead of having +5' advance it can go +10' - unlikely to ever need to go that far with it !
Going to keep scouring for more to make up my F3 kits as the SP rotors are no longer available
I successfully modified a ZXR750 rotor to fit the ZXR with the correct timing stamped on it but this is sooooooooo much easier
Better get making the patch leads for the H and L looms

Throttle cables
Well the GPz900R cables have been bugging me (too long) and I know the L model cables for flat slides are too short
So was about to order up a custom made set (The J2's are now no longer available) when I spied a slim line switchgear for a GPz900R going cheap
Why does that help ? Well , I have a F3 high throttle kit but when you use with the standard switchgear there isn't enough room (Throttle tube housing in switchgear is also redundant) and the F3 kill / starter switch gear has no lights on it.
So I thought, get this and cut the block connectors of my spare one and solder onto this and get it sorted out - there was no need, plugged straight in with full functionality
So off came the OEM switchgear and on with these - still to tidy up the GPz switchgear (Actually an Active made one) and the throttle kit body so they will go on the "snagging" list for when I strip it down again.
So nice having a crisp throttle response and I also managed to set it up for a 45' action Went along to the local castle to do some magazine shots - not heard back so maybe only open to UK residents

Re: Bolt on Goodies
Converted the bike back to a two seater yesterday and took the wife out for her 1st blast on it
Her opinion:
Good view , windy , perched , no feeling to bike and said back end was sliding. Don't think she's used to the "tip" that the bike has so feels like it is sliding, i certainly felt nothing and she put that down to me not being sensitive enough
Today's project was to finally fit my old Yoshimura Multi meter - alway's handy to see what volts are being produced as well as the time.
Temp meter never seemed to do much and it's now doing nothing LOL - nice to see the temp in numbers Warning light for overheating - need to find what value to set it at, got it at 165'c just now.
Two Seater (With cover) Meter You'll notice the trip reading 90+ miles , this is what I have so far covered on 9 litres (2 gallons). Well happy with that considering it's FCR's and I don't exactly hang about

BEET cover , analogue coolant & digital oil temp'
Clutch plates arrived today so stripped down the bike this afternoon and got the frictions installed.
Went for standard 10-40W oil with new filter, sump plug was also swapped out for a drilled blue anodised one with a magnet in it.
With the engine empty of oil I removed the ZXR generator cover and got the BEET one put on: Oil sensor got installed too: The new look for the clocks:
Artistic impression Didn't get time to go for a hurl before it started to spit, so it went under it's cover and will come out to play tomorrow

Re: Bolt on Goodies
A better pic' from today:
I've actually got a Gold one in the cupboard - has some heavy damage but still intact. Need to get around to tidying it up and re-spraying it as I am sure the Gold would look good too
New clutch is bedding in well and oil temp sits around 90'c+ most of the time.
MM!
