i'd go satin black .. it's not as durable a finish as gloss, but can be touched up/re-done easier

I dont think i've ever seen satin black on any vehicle, google time :p
If it's broke spray it with WD40, if it's still broke spray it again and leave it over night, if it's still broke, bin it.

nah got a few repairs to do on the fairings first, have started melting plastic....
