charging voltage problem

on my race bike i have kept the charging system but nothing else but i have noticed that the battery is charging at bout 15volts, i just wondered if any1 else has had this problem and how they sorted it, i am worried that it will cook the battery, i am not sure if the rectifer is causing this i have not come across this, help

Under or over charging is a sign of the rectifier failing. As this is a race bike I would disconnect the feed to the rectifier to avoid damaging the battery and either leave it that way or get a new rectifier
