As many of you know im trying to build a ZXR400 race bike to race with Bemsee in the EDI 400s, im having a little trouble finding the precise specs of what i can and cant do, ive looked at the BMCRC download, then referenced that with the ACU docs which have 2 options really, Clubmans, and Supersport. Which do i want?
The supersport says to comply with the FIM regs.
Its all too confusing, maybe im looking down the wrong avenues!
Can someone just write a document that says what i can change on the bike, mainly what i can do to the engine, for example, cams, ram air, etc
Any help would be much appreciated!
Confuzzled (or stupid!)
Gareth

I'd ignore the ACU regs, they're really for current models and classes. Go by the clubs regs. You're money will run out before you get anywhere near the limits of what is allowed

its not very detailed is it ...
is there no smaller capacity limit for the 2 stroke's ? or is it 415cc for either ?
if its 415cc for the strokers too, then surely a bored/stroked aprillia 250 is the way to go ..

Does it need to be more detailed ?
No and Yes
You'd think so, but apparently not

There is a bhp limit for the 2 strokes though, but that's just to keep it close to the 4 stokes bhp. They can be much lighter as well. I think put the fastest rider on the best of each bike and the 2 strokes would be faster, although they are more difficult to ride
