Survived my first race last weekend.
Altho didn't get of the line the way i wanted.
Warm-up reved it to 7k rpm resulting in sky high front end. But nice takeoff
Race I dropped down to 6k rpm, Nice start but then after 2-3 sekunds it just lost driv for a sekund and then came aging. Losing me all ground.
So how do you get off the line? Mayby I just gave it to much gas to soon at 7k rpm
ADDON: The fastest lapped 50 seconds last year in the race this year they lapped 51's. Falkenberg in Sweden.
I started out on saterday high 1.08's sleppt on it and just kept saying GAS IT! went out sunday and dropped to mid 58's Got one high 57 in the race. And finnished 11 out of 12. Not last and dropped almost 11secound so happy after my first race ever

I think i would be a bit excited at the start line too! What i usually do is hold the revs at about 3 or 4K with the clutch just biting and when the light goes, give it a handful of revs and feed the clutch in. Perhaps get yourself onto a drag strip so you can practice your stats?

i used to start at around 8k but slipping the clutch like there's no tomorrow then as the clutch bites more give her more power untill the clutch is fully out
the bikes not that powerfull to lift the front unless the clutch is dumped quickly. As its yours first race id put it down to nerves!
Congrats on the finish as well not bad at all for the first go!

i hold the clutch so it is biting and dig my feet into the floor to stop bike moving. the second the lights go out u only have to move the clutch about 10mm and its biting enough to go really well i hold revs bout 5k then as i move clutch i just wak throttle open.
this works for me. last race at darley moor with ng they put me under investigation as i went from 8th to 2nd.
everyone has there own way so best to experiment. pull up when red flag is out in practice in a safe place and do a practice start.

As red lights go on, hold at 12,000rpm, let the clutch out slowely until it starts to bite, put rear brake on, when lights go out get off the brake, on full throttle and and feed the clutch out very quickly, but not so quickly that the front lifts too much.
Worked extremely well for me

Yep, control the traction through the clutch.
Having said that i have actually flipped it on the start line. Broken engine casing, oil everywhere. DOH!
