1mm oversize pistons

There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

1mm oversize pistons,Has any one got any advise on which make to use . they are for my race engine .need them to hold together upto 15800 revs . many thanks Roy

i've got JE 1mm oversize pistons in my main engine, i think they will re bore your barrells too. the engine mine are in were revved to 16,100 but then taken down to 15,500, but i think it's revving to 15,000 now.

but JE pistons would be the way to go

Stick with std pistons.easier to get replacement and a lot less costly.1mm dont give that much increase and you cant rev them as hard.Just get a decent tuner [RMKD] :smt003

Thanks for the advise Robbie but i tune my own engines . and i am after more drive from lower revs . my engines are reving 16+ with std in 2. and 15900 +5 in the other. i just needed some advise from those who have experience with 1mm pistons many thanks Roy

cost factor vs increase ive been told by a reliable source it just aint worth it but hey each to there own.

buy an RVF if your after something that pulls from lower revs

Toecutter on this board had 1mm over omega pistons, they're very very nice. I haven't been able to get in touch with him but I'm in the US. You might contact Omega, since he had them custom made there. No replacement for displacement.:) I was hoping to get 2mm over from Rob but wasn't able to work it out. I may try contacting Omega myself about a set.
