damper,

There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

The ODM2000 and the ODM3000 both fit the ZXR.

Stroke lengths are 120mm and 130mm

Damper body length shouldn't matter as long as the stroke is correct, both of the above are under 400mm though.

Unless your lock stops have been modded even a 140mm stroke isn't long enough to prevent the damper acting as a lock stop (a scrutineering fail). Easy to mod the stops though by drilling through and inserting bolts. For racing you don't need the OEM lock to lock travel.

Which model NHK Damper have you fitted to your H also what stroke length has it got.
Thanks
Andy
Mine is the ODM3000 but you can use the 2000 too:

It's got to be 6~7yrs old now and still no problems with it , the Posh-Faith one I have on the ZRX is starting to leak so is in need of a service.

MM!

It's not that. Both of those will work but you will need to mod the lock stops as the dampers are too short to allow the full OEM lock-to-lock travel. I would think that either of them will give you sufficient lock for racing (unless you are thinking of doing an enduro on it :smt003 )

Are you hard of understanding or something? :smt017

THEY DO WORK YOU JUST HAVE TO MODIFY THE LOCK STOPS TO SLIGHTLY REDUCE THE LOCK TO LOCK TRAVEL.

Is that any clearer?

I have a 140mm one on my bike and it works fine.

You idiot,if it worked properly you would not have to mod anything, this is why im asking what is the proper lenght.
So I dont have to do what you did.

Well I am totally confused with most posts in this !

The NHK kits need NO MODIFICATIONS - FULL FUCKIN STOP !

Bolt n Go like on my bike, is that so difficult to understand ?

You clearly have no manners whatsoever. Someone who you don't know from Adam has taken the trouble to try and help you by answering your query and you first start be snappy and rude and then become completely offensive. Help yourself in future, welcome to my ignore list.

You did not answer it correctly, your answer did not make any sense,
and you were just as rude yourself,
Maybe you didn't understand my question or something, but there's no need for for you to be insulting and offensive!

sorry zxr500man, but there's no way you're going to win this argument - you engaged the hostilities and the only thing you're going to do by blaming other people is piss them off

Now lets all grow up and you say sorry and we all move on rather than making a mountain out of a mole hill :smt058
