It's a 100ohm resistor that goes on the grey wire coming out of the CDI.
You'll know it's working right when there's a 9v voltage going from the gray wire from the CDI to a known good earth. Just been through the same my self trying to diagnose a starting issue.

mmm not sure now put in resistor and i get 7v so now im confused to say the least
