Where can I get good info on race prepping ZXR750's

There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

Where can I get good info on race prepping ZXR750's

Post by Max4music »

I'm now the proud owner of a 1991 ZXR750K (the R model of the J if you like). I'm planning on working on it over the next year to turn it into a race winning track tool. :smt001 There is plenty of work and parts needed so was wondering if anyone knows of a good ZXR750 site where I can get all the kind of info Ive gained for my racing 400's on here.

Have a look at the Redmonkey ZXR ZX7R site. plenty of info there to search through. there are some race kit manuals in english kicking around the internet. Unfortunatly all of the kit parts have been discontinued & are like rocking horse toad, but a few aftermarkets still make some nice gear.
Do you have the flatslides & alloy tank still on it?
Regards,
Michael

Aahhh the Redmonkey site. I used to be a member on there years ago (I have a road ZX7R). Good plan.

Its got the flatslides, CR gearbox, fully adjustable forks, but sdaly the alloy tank appears to have gone walkies at some point. I guess it was pinched by a racer at some point. I think I'll be looking at making an ally fuel cell and tank cover like I have done with my 400's, albeit it will need to be a fair bit bigger for the guzzling flatslides. Its certainly a fair bit heavier than my race 400's.

I would ask that question on motoforum dude. Alot more racers on there that will know, especially with the brilliant new golden era class this year at thundersports.
This is a great bike for that, and im sure there will be a few others lucky enough to have 750rr intending on doing that class who will share there info.

Ive got a srad 750 at the mo... if i get half the chance, thats what id be doing this season! old school superbikes :smt001

Jake with you there mate, love me 400 but always have a soft spot for old school superbike. No computers, carburettion off charts & the only traction control was the right hand. Those guys had big ones.
