Heloooooo
Hi all , just found this bit to introduce myself . I have just bought a low mileage but neglected ZXR400J(sorn and stood since 09) just needs richening top end and some cosmetic attention.
Past bikes are a chequered history of two strokes from common basheres at 11 years old until i got a TZR125 in 87 then more two strokes inc cr500 and kx 500 supermotard's kr1s 250 , several rd's ,,125 , 250 and 350cc's until i decided to take my test in 98 on my first ever diesel which was a mint zx400 in the green with the green and white original KR1 250 paint job since then i have had all sort's of big an mid range sports bikes stunt tools and home built supermotard's but to be honest i love my 400's as they have just enough poke for me but not enough to get me into serious trouble as i have no self control (evidence to follow) and have been doing the nc30-35 thing on and off but chose the Kwak over a nice nc just because I've never ridden one and two it had enough history to prove it had only done 7700 miles . I have some carb issues to solve and some light scapes due to a light spill by the previous female owner.
I will try and contribute and learn from my time here ,A,T,B Ian.

welcome...sounds like a similar history to me (the LC thing lol). Loved 350lc's...a good one is rare and pricy!

Re: Heloooooo
How about an rd350lc ypvs with rgv250 front end with the rear swingarm (stolen banana, naughty Suzuki) and the rear wheel, brake and shock, topped off with an rs250 tyga race fairing kit...

Carb issues, keep us updated, a new subject to discuss will be good.Dorset shortwing wrote:I have some carb issues to solve and some light scapes due to a light spill by the previous female owner.
I've heard of blokes dropping them too.
Does the low seat height reflect the low intelligence? Easier to get an asshole onto.

Re: Heloooooo
I built a 350 lc with rgv banana swinger and forks with cbr 600 fl wheels , Aprillia rs250 seat and 916 nosecone and lights ,,,,all that was needed to finish was paint ,,BUT !!!! i found a kx500 crosser and robbed swinger and wheels to build a supermotard back in1995ross46 wrote:How about an rd350lc ypvs with rgv250 front end with the rear swingarm (stolen banana, naughty Suzuki) and the rear wheel, brake and shock, topped off with an rs250 tyga race fairing kit...

Re: Heloooooo
How about this ,, i had this RVF and fitted a Tyga seat and smacked it up so built this with 600RR fairing and a mv seat unit with rescued Tyga carbon seat sides
Yet again all that was needed was paint ,,,so i hit a deer on it and smashed it to bit's
The main reason i like 400's is it stop's me from being naughty,,,,ish

How about a RD350LC, stage 3 Stan Stephens tune, RGV front, same banana rear, one off panels made by a mate, Harpowa reeds, needed a rebuild every 500 miles? Will try to source a pic but this was years before the internet, mobile phones etc.

Ok, I am 99.99999999% sure ( never say 100%) that I put a post in this topic, so why has it been deleted?

Re: Heloooooo
Bloody thing jumped over the hedge on my right and landed smack in my path ...didn't even brake I just stood up and supermand it when I was sliding my butt got hot very quick as I was wearing jeans and had to dig my elbows , heels and helmet into the tarmac to relieve the heat transfer lol. To make matters worst I got up with the intention of having a word but the bugger was nowhere to be seen .ross46 wrote:no i posted a 2nd one about him hitting the deer, saying that he was lucky as a previous member hit a cow and ended up in intensive car and was lucky to live with brain clots etc well their is this one now, ride safe.
