miss firing

Post by tng21 »

Hi fellas.

In the last couple of days my bikes started running on 3 cylinders. The thing is its only missing at high revs. Well i say high, just mean in the upper end. If i accelerate at normal city pace, the bike runs on 4, but if i open up the throttle properly, its splutters and runs on 3.

I bought 4 new spark plugs but still does it. Thought it might be the coil pack but if it was wouldnt it miss even at low revs?

Going to change the leads to see if that helps ut any other ideas?

could be one of the leads breaking down when it gets hot? or even 1 of the carbs playing up?

well im going to change the leads today, providing they no tthat expensive, ( thought the plugs would be cheapish but £27 for four shocking ) and see if that solves the problem, but if it doesnt i dont know what it would be.
