my bike gives out white smoke when cold but only when cold,i know that white smoke means water in the engine so iam thinkin head gasket but there is no loss in power that i can tell???
i mite just do a comp test, also i bin thinkin it may be condensation from the cover being on it but its quite a lot of white smoke, but not tons.

Re: white smoke
It's quite normal for them to chuck a ton of water vapour out of the back when you start them up on cold days. Hot exhaust gas, full of water from the combustion process, hits a cold metal pipe and all the water condenses out of it.
The things to check are
- Does it stop after a few miles?
- Is the coolant level dropping?
If the answers are YES and NO (in that order), I don't think you have anything to worry about.
