I'll have to get back to you with a part number, i never had it on the road to try it with the other CDI, i mght swap them back over too see what happens but i think they both rev out when your just revving it, it seems when under load that it holds back?????

Re: won't rev out.
They all use the same trigger, and as it runs up to 12,000ish its not likely a pickup problem. The signal voltage actually goes up beyond 19volts at those kind of revs. if it was cutting out all together at 12,000ish then it is probably a speed restrictor issue. but as you say its more a stumbling hesitation problem. sounds more like a fueling issue. If you do think its a CDI problem, I have just finished building A CDI test bench for and could take a look if you mail it over to me. Our dollars so low at the moment I can derestrict and test it for you for penuts...LOL....cheers

Cheers TK, I might take you up on that offer, Does anyone still do a different advance retard plate for them as i wouldn't mind fiddling with that as well?

Re: won't rev out.
hi, factory do a 4 degree advancer for the zxr, they're available from straightline racing in kings lynn. didn't notice any diference at all when i fitted one. if you did want to play with the power of your bike, i'd suggest cams, kent do some and have the adjustable wheels so you can fine tune the timing.
the prob with your bike does sound very fuel related, has the bike ever run right and if it did, what other changes did you make when it started running crap. have you checked the battery? that would also give this kind of problem.
cheers

Re: won't rev out.
not much point in the advancer.. you can get more than 4' by slotting the pickup, and thats free
or .. wait a week or so, and i'll have programmable ignition units for sale.. muahahahahaha
i asked about the cdi, because he said he'd changed it..
could well be fuelling, but not much to go on.
