cutting out, please help!

Post by newnut »

hi every one, im new to the site and hoping some one can help me! my mates new zxr 400 is poorly, it starts up fine, but as soon as you try to give it any throttle it stalls. every thing was fine till i tryed to accelerate hard then it jus bogged down and stalled. there is also a funny noise coming from the top end. i noticed (a little late) that it had no oil in it at all. are the rings shot do you think? i have read topics about water sitting in the jets and think this is a maybe as i know he washed the bike a couple a days previous. any help much much appreciated! cheers guys, Ben!

is it likely the cam chain has jumped?
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.
