I've just changed the frame on my bike, now the damn thing won't start. Was ok before hand managed to get it going once but didn't sound right and smelt really hot.Today it sparked once and then gave a loud backfire due to fuel build up, The rev counter is going up to 3000 revs when turning over and the fuse box is getting really hot??? any ideas?
The frame has been painted black but i've scraped some paint off for the earth.

Re: starting
I think i've sourced the problem, on removing the top yoke i gave the ignition switch a few gentle taps to get the yoke off, i've had the switch apart and found there is a small resistor in there that goes across to the grey wire( the one that goes to the cdi) this had come loose on one side as it wasn't soldered on that well.
Now that it's back as it should be i've got a spark. Just waiting for the battery to recharge to see if it will start.

Problem sorted, took plugs out and blasted them with my gas soldering iron(has a flame tip on it) lots of popping from the plugs as the fuel must get trapped in them as they're so long. put them back in and it fired straight away!!!
