i personally dont see how it takes any extra effort to change the washer at the same time since you already have the plug out :P

I never bothered on the ZXR, but I do bother on my gixxer.

because you've got to go buy one! they dont even put them next to the oil in the shopps so you have to go walking around looking for them!...

That's why I walk up to the parts desk, tell them what I want, and get them to go n get it for me :-D :-P
I can easily take my business elsewhere.

I guess I asked for that one :P I guess I've just gotten so used to always replacing seals/gaskets etc at work that it comes as second nature to do it on my bike now :P

also my kwak is worth a fraction of what my gixxer is worth and I want to keep it that way

She builds large litre diesel engines, 38-78 litres you know, for Cummins in Daventry.

The manual should state what torque to do the plug up to, so buy a torque wrench and do what the manual says :-)
If you dont want to buy a torque wrench, you should be able to make a very educated guess as to when you have reached the correct torque
Caz

i have the manual on disc here , got it with the bike so will have a read.

The old mans got millions of tools for every occasion since he's been a mechanic for the past 30 years so a torgue wrench isnt a problem.

cheers guys, and gals lol
