has it still got a restriction kit on
my bike came with a restriction certificate and it dont really want to go over 120 how would i find out if the kit is still on it.. and if still on is it easy enough to remove. thanks

the 33bhp restrictors and small metal plates that are bolted between the carb inlet rubbers and the cylinder head, is your bike and import or a uk spec?as imports can have restricted cdi's as well and also have a speedo restriction.

they are normally restricted to 100mph. if im not mistaken (brothers was anyway)

there not restricted to speed....
mine is 33bhp kit and will do 120 ish on a long long run

If your not willing to test the top end then the easy way is to ride a bike that you no isnt restricted, or get someone to ride yours who knows what a unrestricted one is like. Its pointless me saying it feels guttless if you havent ridden a full power one!
Or you can take the carbs off and see if there's a washer in the intake pipe.

im located in brighton and the bike is a uk model and yes this is your old bike if you are mark carlingboy is that a pic of it in blue
