Formula 3 kawasaki Racing exhaust
Finally managed to get myself one of these systems
Photo's to follow (arrived last night and briefly looked at it), came with two end cans but will do a slight re-vamp on them
Headers and link pipe are stainless with a mild steel collector. It is a 4-2-1 system that uses a full length reversion diffuser in the collector (this has now been copied many times by Yoshimura and Akrapovic) with additional diffusers's in between the two incoming set of pipes into the collector (this could be a mid range boost) and is the 1st time to see on any system - if you think I have had something like 50+ different manufactures systems pass through my hands and hundreds of pipes it is very unique !
It also employs the same set-up as some of the modern systems where the headers are held into the head by springs as you fit the clamps and spacers 1st, i will replace all the springs with some nice new ones, polish up the pipes and give the collector a freash coat of PJ1 fast black
Hopefully I will pick up a carbon sleeve for the end can or the alloy one will get a good polish too. Wish i had bought the NOS one I saw last year
Will use this system for my base line Dyno run and swap over to my BEET for the next set of runs
Later.....

Already gave the link pipe a wee Autosol:
Collector:
Exhaust clamp:
Non production look:
End can:
This is the SP engine hiding under the bubble wrap (gotta keep it warm )
My practise cylinder head - today I started the port work on it and already have made good progress. After the grinding / polishing it will get dipped in a cleaning solution which should bring back to factory new look Once finished I'll post up some pic's. The engine this came off will be my experimental one until it goes bang

Re: Formula 3 kawasaki Racing exhaust
Holly Molly,
Can't believe that's been over a year now
Well , today I finally got round to cleaning up the last header and clamps.
Sunshine tomorrow so I'm as well getting out there and fitting it on
Haven't actually sprayed the collector yet as wanted to take to a mates place and ask him to shot blast it so will put a lick of stove paint on for now.
So from that mess it now looks like this - a shiny mess

Re: Formula 3 kawasaki Racing exhaust
Good job polishing it up!
I recently autosol'd the downpipes on my VFR, can't believe how well they came up! Took forever though
Hopefully it's going to perform as good as it looks
