...with some slight modification
not bad for £10
mounting bolts for zxr 400 cans are 72mm centre to centre, this zx7r one was 75mm centre to centre, so you need to remove ~2mm of metal from your mounting plate, i have sandy bike spares downpipes that come with a removeable flange (so you can fit slip on cans), 15minutes work with a drill and i opened the mounting holes out just fine, now i have a free flowing can that sounds excellent
plus its proper carbon fiber and titanium, the can and hanging strap weigh 1.525kg, the old can alone is well over 4.0kg - it maxed out my scales at 3.6kg so its heavier than that, ive got a set of scales for weighing luggage at home, ill try it on that next along with its hanging bracket...
EDIT - old zxr400 can + hanging bracket = 4.55kg! so ive saved 3kg!

click on the picture below for a quick video of the sound, is a bit deeper in real life, but it all sounds good

Re: ZX7R Cans Fit...
This should be part of a sticky. Used ZXR400 cans are getting rare/expensive.

Re: ZX7R Cans Fit...
in theory, the sandy bike spares downpipes i have are 52mm outer diameter, so i can fit anyslipon with those measurements, and the 3-bolt plate allows you as standard to fit cans with mounting points 72mm down to around 69mm (ill check later), with a bit of drilling 75mm centre to centre allows you to fit bigger cans, and it should be possible to go down to ~65mm centre to centre, so thats a good range.
what we need is a list of center to center distances for a range of 3-bolt cans, ill start off:-
72mm ZXR 400 L-models (91-03)
75mm ZX7R P-models (96-01)

Re: ZX7R Cans Fit...
Sp engineering list the outlet size as 2.5", which is 62mm, so in theory, for those of us with micron headers, this can should fit...
