L4 & L5 Exhaust

Post by Tirpitz »

Is there any difference between the L1 -L4 and L5 onwards header pipes? Reason I ask is because M&P are advertising stainless headers for the ZXR400 1995-98. So will these not fit anything earlier than an L5?

As far as im aware everything swaps across the years, even H headers fit L models.

Thanks Rob, that's what I thought. Don't understand their listing then, but handy to know they are available to fit others if (when :smt003 ) needed.

they did the same to me - they had a listing for a 2-1 stainless system (Laser Deeptone) for my gpz, but the said it only fitted the a series, whilst the laset site said a & d series. After i rang them, and they checked it, I bought system for £330, before they noticed that laser had put the rrp up to £430! They honour the price, and put the price up the next day, bargain! biggrin
I do 700 miles a week in all weathers including snow, that's roughly 35,000 miles a year, and some weekend warrior biker has the nerve to get out of his Audi at work to tell me to I was riding far too fast in the wet (over taking at 50... fast eh?).
