H2 cosmetics

Post by R P Corse »

hey guys, long time no speak.

lookin for cosmetics and having trouble finding them for the H series, only seem to be finding the L model cosmetics.

basically, all i need is the front nose fairing and both side fairings and magneto cover, finally i need a right radiator bracket - these are what i NEED.

extras to what i want, new nuts n bolts adonised gold, black or titanium, carbon fibre mudguard front and carbon f. chain and rear mudguard and finally i want like a clip on rear unit - instead of having a seat there, have a cover.

also ... know where i can get short levers from? pazzos i cant seem to find :smt012 but i cant seem to find any parts for Tokico :smt017

for nuts and bolts, ive looked on tasty nuts, but doesnt list whether its for the H or L, and with body work and most other parts, everything is listed for the L model.

money is not an option.

cheers.

Well i know for a fact you dont need to bother with tasty nuts, all you need to do is find out the bolt sizes and order them. I did exactly that here

viewtopic.php?f=55&t=368

I personally went for stainless steel, the tasty nuts and pro bolt kits i think are made of aluminium and are soft as shite, plus the anodising fades.

If you dont mind aftermarket fairings you can always try http://www.jap4performance.com/kawasakiZXR400.html

As for the carbon bits and pieces, im not sure anymore, i got all of mine from performancemotorcycleparts.co.uk but they seemed to have closed down :smt017

Im sure theres a link or two in the tuning section for carbon parts :)

Levers i dont know

Off the top of my head, you need to measure the thread width. You'll need some vernier calipers to do it properly but if you measure either side of the thread and comes to 5mm, that'll be an M5 bolt, 6mm M6 and so on. To measure the length i think is quite obvious. :smt003 What you might find is that you cant get the exact length, so i just got what was nearest but longer :)

depends on thread pitch too, not all the bolts/nuts are going to be standard 1.5 pitch

Hi,

ALL of my bolts on my ZXR400 are stainless steel. 99% of the bike use 1.5 pitch. The only 1.25 pitch I've came across so far is the front and rear calipers.

Front Calipers - 4 M10x40 at 1.25 pitch
Rear Caliper - 2 M10x45 at 1.25 pitch

Hope this helps :)

Regards

Rich
